Born and raised in the California Bay Area, Shannon relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2013 with her husband, Geoff, and their daughters, Camryn and Claire.
With over 30 years of experience in IT leadership, customer success, service delivery, project management, and operations, Shannon has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving results. She has held leadership roles at Nortel Networks, Cisco Systems, and Red Hat and has spent the last six years as a Customer Success Executive supporting the public sector.
A passionate advocate for community engagement, Shannon has served in multiple board positions, including Leesville Road High School Dance Ensemble and Military Missions in Action. Her commitment to service led her to found Celebrate for Good, where she helps create meaningful partnerships and impactful charitable events.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership in the Public Sector (magna cum laude) from NC State University.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time at Lake Gaston, practicing yoga, playing tennis, and socializing with family and friends.
Originally from Arkansas, Casey moved to North Carolina in 2000 with her husband, Patrick, and their daughter, Carson.
A self-taught entrepreneur and licensed cosmetologist, Casey has spent over 20 years in the beauty industry, owning and operating Beauty Works, Inc. since 2005. Her passion for people and community-building has been the driving force behind her success, allowing her to create spaces where individuals feel seen, valued, and empowered.
Deeply committed to giving back, Casey has volunteered and held board positions for numerous organizations, including the Look Good Feel Better Program at Rex Hospital, Leesville Road School PTA (K-12), The Women's Center of Raleigh, and the Springdale Recreation Club. She believes in meeting people where they are and ensuring that compassion and empowerment are accessible at all stages of life.
In her downtime, Casey enjoys spending time with family and friends, chasing after her beloved fur babies (Hank, Remi, and grand-dog Ruby), traveling, playing tennis, and working in her yard.
Beth was raised in Raleigh, NC, where she and her husband, Bruce, have built a wonderful life with their three children—Drew, Megan, and Ally. Their family also includes their beloved dog, Gunner, and two cherished grand-dogs, who are the best furry grandkids ever.
Beth holds an Accounting degree from NC State University and an MBA from Meredith College. She is an experienced fiscal manager with a diverse background spanning the nonprofit sector, clinical research, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and the plastics industry. In her current role, she is dedicated to expanding access to healthcare for vulnerable populations worldwide.
Beyond her professional work, Beth has a deep passion for sports and community service. She enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, soccer, and beach volleyball, as well as spending quality time with family and friends. A lifelong soccer enthusiast, she has volunteered as a coach for local clubs for over 40 years, sharing her love for the game with generations of players. She has also served on the boards of Green Year Round and the Brier Creek PTA. Additionally, Beth has played a key role in organizing and participating in several Stop Hunger Now events through school, work, and church.
Stacie L. Jones, CPA is a seasoned financial professional with a deep-rooted passion for strategic financial management and community service. Born and raised in Miami, FL, she earned her Master of Accounting with a concentration in Internal Audit from Florida International University.
Stacie began her career at Arthur Andersen, LLP, specializing in healthcare clients before relocating to Raleigh in 1999. She then joined Duke University Health System as a Financial Analyst, where she has spent more than two decades honing her expertise in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. Today, as the Associate Vice President of Financial Operations for Duke Health Integrated Practice, she collaborates with finance and operations leadership to drive strategic initiatives that enhance financial efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Stacie is an avid traveler who enjoys staying active and spending quality time with friends. She has a strong commitment to giving back, having served in various volunteer roles, including athletic committees, mentoring young professionals, and contributing as a Springdale Area Recreation Club (SARC) Board Member. With her financial acumen and dedication to service, she strives to make a meaningful impact both within her industry and in the broader community.
With nearly 30 years of experience in marketing and communications, Stephanie King brings a wealth of expertise and a unique perspective to Celebrate for Good. Her career spans both corporate and nonprofit sectors, equipping her with the skills to craft compelling marketing strategies, develop engaging content, and manage multi-channel communication efforts that drive meaningful engagement.
Before joining Celebrate for Good, Stephanie dedicated her time and expertise to various nonprofit boards, including several PTAs, the Springdale Area Recreation Club, and the Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Program. She has successfully led initiatives in content creation, social media campaigns, and volunteer coordination, always with a focus on building strong community connections and sharing authentic stories that inspire action.
When she’s not working at her “day job” at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and making the most of the outdoors whenever she can.
Marta Pirzadeh, a passionate public health professional with over 25 years of experience, has dedicated her career to improving lives locally and globally. Originally from upstate New York, she now resides in Black Mountain, North Carolina, embracing the area's small-town community and natural beauty.
Marta's expertise spans nonprofit leadership, health, and development programs, with a focus on youth development, HIV prevention, and community-based reproductive health. She has implemented programs in more than 25 countries across Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, working with local and global partners.
Marta continues her global health work professionally while contributing to local causes. Over the years, her commitment to community service is evident in her work with diverse nonprofits including BeLoved Asheville, Planned Parenthood, The Women’s Center of Chapel Hill, Alliance of AIDS Services--Carolinas, and the North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation. Marta's dedication was further demonstrated during Hurricane Helene's aftermath, as she actively supported her community through the recovery. She serves on the Advisory Board of her local YMCA and has been involved with Celebrate for Good Inc (C4G) when it was a little “garage party”. She looks forward to continuing to support C4G in a more active role. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Prior to this, Mindy spent seven years at the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh, holding various roles and ultimately serving as the Senior Director of Engagement. Before her professional work in the nonprofit sector, she spent over a decade volunteering in leadership positions, including multiple terms as President of the Temple Beth Or Sisterhood and serving on the Temple Beth Or Board of Directors.
Mindy’s career began in the tech industry, where she spent 20 years as a software developer at IBM. While her background may be in technology, her true passion lies in creating meaningful programs, fostering connections, and recognizing the contributions of volunteers and donors.
Outside of her work, Mindy enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, staying active, and playing card games. Whether through engagement programs, heartfelt conversations, or community-driven initiatives, she is committed to making the world a better place—one connection at a time.

With a distinguished career spanning proposal development, nonprofit leadership, and government relations, Christy Sandy brings a wealth of expertise to her work. As Director of Proposal Development at North Carolina State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, she collaborates with faculty to secure funding for groundbreaking research and extension initiatives, with awards reaching up to $10 million.
Before joining NC State, Christy served as a Consultant and Director of Development for the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center, where she successfully secured funding from public, foundation, and corporate sources. Her career also includes 20 years in the U.S. Congress and government relations, where she honed her skills in policy development and strategic advocacy.
Christy holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Virginia Tech.

Beyond her university role, Kristin runs a private practice, where she has worked with hundreds of tweens, teens, and young adults diagnosed with comorbid learning differences, including specific learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and disorders related to working memory, information processing, and executive dysfunction.
Kristin is actively involved in professional and advocacy work. She serves on two boards for the North Carolina Council for Exceptional Children—the Division on Autism and Developmental Disabilities and the Division for Learning Disabilities. Additionally, she is a passionate advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, working with Free Mom Hugs-NC and the NC State University LGBTQ Pride Center.
